Where it is
Mobile App Manager → Business Directory. The page has six tabs. Every save requires the manage_options capability and a valid nonce, and only writes a fixed set of known options — nothing else is persisted.
Settings tab
General app behavior:
- Hide photo scroller on detail screen? (
bd-hide-photo-array) - Social links use icons only? (
mam_bd_social_icons_only) - Exclude authors and staff from In App Purchases? (
bd-no-iap-for-author-staff) - Radius distance (Miles) (
mam_bd_standard_radius_override) — overrides the default search/offer radius. - Login screen snackbar message for invited users (
bd-invited-user-snackbar-message).
Listing tab
Permissions and the add/edit form for the single Business Directory listing type:
- User can add a listing on the app? (
bd-user-can-add-on-app) - Author can edit their listing on the app? (
bd-author-can-edit-on-app) - Admin can edit every listing? (
bd-admin-can-edit-all-listings) - Allow only one category per listing? (
mam_bd_one_cat_only) - Add new listings in Draft (pending) mode? (
bd-add-in-draft) — when Yes, non-admin submissions and edits re-enter moderation. - Editor can delete a listing? (
mam_bd_editor_can_delete) - Default category for new listings (
mam_bd_category_for_new) — a term from thewpbdp_categorytaxonomy. - Add/Edit listing form instructions (
mam_bd_instructions).
Field mapping (bd-field overrides)
Business Directory listings are auto-mapped to the app’s structured fields (street, city, state, ZIP, phone, website, email, hours, contact name) by matching field names. Override a slot here only when the automatic match is wrong. “Select…” leaves auto-detection in place and stores 0.
Each override is stored as bd-field-{slot} = the wpbdp form field id. The dropdowns list the site’s meta-association form fields.
Tip: Business Directory ships a single free-form Address box. For the cleanest app map, filters, and city labels, add plain City and State form fields (Directory → Form Fields) and map them here. If you skip that, the app falls back to city/region derived by the geocoder (
_mam_bd_city/_mam_bd_region).
Claim Listing tab
- Checkout mode (
mam_bd_claim_checkout_mode) — Stripe or In App Purchase. A warning shows if IAP is chosen but the MAM In-App Purchase Manager plugin is not active. - Claim CTA text (
mam_bd_claim_cta) and Claim features (one per line) (mam_bd_claim_features). - Claim Screen Appearance — background image (
mam_bd_claim_bg_image) and seven colors (mam_bd_claim_bg_color,..._cta_color,..._card_bg_color,..._card_text_color,..._price_color,..._button_color,..._button_text_color). - Checkout Screen (Stripe) — four colors (
mam_bd_checkout_back_color,..._text_color,..._button_color,..._button_text_color).
These values are read by the claim-listing manager and injected into the app’s claim/checkout screens.
Notifications tab
Controls which audiences the Send Notification form offers and the labels users see:
- Owners/managers can send push notifications from the app? (
bd-owner-can-send-pns-on-app) - Audience toggles: favorited users (
bd-send-notification-to-favourited-users), users in the area (bd-send-notification-to-users-in-area), all users (bd-send-notification-to-all-users). - Audience labels:
bd-send-notification-to-all-favorited-users,bd-send-notification-to-all-nearby-users.
Roles tab
- Role for new staff members (
mam_bd_new_staff_member_role). - Display names for the Listing Manager (
mam_manager_role_name), Listing Staff (mam_staff_role_name), and Subscriber (mam_subscriber_role_name) roles. These are shared MAM role-name options consumed across the suite.
Claim Invites tab
Hosts the bulk claim-invite tool. See Recipe: Bulk-invite venue owners to claim.
