Listing tab bar buttons

Summary

On a listing’s detail screen the app shows action buttons based on the viewer’s relationship to that specific listing — owner, manager, staff, admin, or anonymous visitor. mam-business-directory builds these via mam_main_add_tab_bar_item_* filters and hides irrelevant ones through the skip filters.

Button Who sees it Notes
Edit Listing Owner, manager, admin Gated by bd-author-can-edit-on-app (author) and bd-admin-can-edit-all-listings (admin)
Edit Staff Owner, manager, admin Opens the staff/manager invite flow
Send Notification Owner, manager Quota-aware; requires bd-owner-can-send-pns-on-app = Yes
Approve Listing Admin only Approve/reject a pending submission
Claim Listing Anonymous / non-owner viewers of an unclaimed listing Hidden when the Claim Listings module is absent or the listing is already claimed
Edit Deals Listing crew Provided by MAM Special Offers; hard-hidden from non-crew
Share Non-crew visitors Standard share action

Role gating

Access is resolved per user against the listing (owner = post_author; managers/staff are per-listing grants). This is the same check that authorizes editing (mam_user_can_edit_post_wpbdp_listing), so a manager for one listing does not get crew buttons on another.

Quotas from the fee plan

  • Send Notification is quota-aware: the monthly push allowance comes from the listing’s fee plan extra_data['mam']['pn_per_month'] (default 10; 0 = unlimited).
  • Edit Deals availability/limit comes from no_of_deals_included.
  • Edit Staff enforces the no_of_staff_members cap (default 5).
