Summary

Business Directory has one listing post type (wpbdp_listing), so mam-business-directory registers a small, fixed set of content surfaces rather than one-per-CPT. Each is a local_app_content registration served by content-classes/local-app-business-directory-class.php.

mam-main already whitelists BusinessDirectory as a list type.

How listings are chosen

• Published listings appear to everyone. Pending/draft listings are visible only to the listing’s author and to admins.
• The admin-approval surface (requested with the sentinel category 999999 for an admin) returns only pending rows — this is the app’s approve-listing queue.
• Categories come from the wpbdp_category taxonomy. Pick which categories the app surfaces in App Setup; set a default for new listings on the settings page → Listing tab. A synthetic “My Venues” category groups the current user’s own listings.

Search, sort, and radius

• Listings ship a searchIndex so the app can do text search (data_has_search_index flag), and category names are included in search hits (use_category_in_search_results).
• Distance sort and radius filtering use the listing’s flat lat/lon postmeta with a Haversine calculation. The default radius is overridable per app and via the settings page Radius distance (Miles).

GeoFilters

mam-business-directory contributes distinct city/region rows (with coordinates) to mam_geofilter_list from listing postmeta, so a GeoFilters app can scope the directory to a city or region. See Business Directory integrations.
