What you’ll have at the end
Your customers and agents use the WPMAM Support mobile app (App Store /
Google Play) connected to your site’s SupportCandy help desk. There is no
custom app build and no app store account of your own.
Steps
-
Install the plugins. On your WordPress site, install and activate
MAM Main and MAM SupportCandy (SupportCandy 3.0+ must already be
active). -
Connect to WPMAM. MAM Main > Settings > Connect. This registers your
site and provisions its secure signing key. Your 14-day free trial
starts the first time someone connects the app to your site. -
Get your company code. wp-admin > App Setup > Support App. The
panel shows your plan status, your 6-digit company code (for example
123-456), its QR code, and its link
(https://wpmobileappmanager.com/sc/123456). Use Copy link and
Download QR to share them. Regenerate gives you a new code; the old
code, QR and link stop working right away. -
Choose who can use the app. App Settings > SupportCandy tab >
Who can use the Support app:- Everyone: customers and your support team.
- Support team only: agents only. A customer who tries to sign in
sees “This company uses the app for its support team.” and your site
is not added to their app.
The same tab holds your company name (shown in the app before sign-in)
and any other web addresses your site uses, so people can find you by
website. -
Share the code. Your users install the Support app, then enter the
company code or scan the QR. Opening the link on a phone does the same:
with the app installed it opens the app on your sign-in screen; without
it, the page shows App Store and Google Play badges, the code and the QR.
They sign in with their account on your site. Agents see agent tools;
customers see their tickets. -
Subscribe. Before the trial ends, use Manage subscription on
WPMAM from the Support App panel ($100/year). Lapsed sites keep their
data, and app access resumes on renewal.
Notes
- Email tag. Add
{{app_link}}to any SupportCandy email template to
insert the App Store badge, your company code and the link. - Ticket email footer. Ticket notification emails include a “View this
ticket in the app” link. App users land on the ticket in the app;
everyone else lands on your website’s ticket page. - Support team only sites: emails to customers get no
{{app_link}}
block and no “View this ticket in the app” footer. Emails to your agents
keep both. No email is ever held back; only the app links are left out. - More than one site. One app can hold many companies. People add
another one from the site name at the top of the home screen > Add a
site. On a new phone, Restore your sites lists the companies for their
email after a one-time email code; each site still needs its own sign-in. - Your app’s home screen and bottom navigation are managed automatically
on this plan; you can still customize the left menu. - Want your own branded app instead (your name, your icon, more MAM
features like GeoDirectory)? That’s the full MAM Suite publishing plan,
and the same plugins carry over.
